Rec Hockey Information

Recreation Hockey Program Falling between the Biscuit League and our AA, A & B Hockey programs, the NIMICE Recreation Program is perfectly situated for the advanced beginner to intermediate skill players who may not be ready for or interested in the time and expense of Travel Hockey. The Recreation Hockey Program is more of a commitment in terms of time and cost than the Biscuit League but further supports the development of skating and hockey skills and builds strength and endurance. NMICE Recreation teams will play in the New Mexico USA Hockey affiliate, Land of Enchantment Amateur Hockey Association (LOEAHA), recreation league with other teams from around the state of New Mexico including Rio Ranch, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Taos with the possibility of additional games against El Paso, Alamosa and Durango.

Recreation Player evaluations are scheduled for Wednesday June 24th and registration is open. If you are not already registered, please click here.

Remember that you will also have to register your player with USA Hockey as part of the process.

If your player is unable to attend evaluations, please contact Coach Ben Danford prior to tryouts to make alternate arrangements for evaluation and consideration (hockeydirector@outposticearena.com).

Practices for all recreation teams will begin in October and conclude by the end of February.
